Marywood University’s Counseling and Student Development Center will hold a virtual Substance Abuse Prevention Education Program, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, from 7-9 p.m. This event is free and open to Marywood University students, faculty and staff. Those interested will receive a link to the virtual event on the day of the program.
Attendees of the “Truth About Substance Use” program will be provided with engaging material via media examples, information from a panel of experts, and discussion to help them understand the implication of substance use.
For most, the college years are a time marked by exciting growth and change. Despite this exciting time, students will also face numerous choices and challenges. All of this will be going on in the midst of a rigorous academic environment. Even the most successful student may encounter a variety of concerns. Marywood University’s Counseling and Student Development Center can help in addressing those concerns by assisting in the development of effective problem-solving and decision-making skills that are needed in order to make satisfying life choices well beyond the students’ Marywood years.
